What is Ping?
Ping (Latency) is the reaction time of your connection—how quickly you get a response after you've sent out a request. A fast ping means a more responsive connection, especially in applications where timing is everything (like video games). A ping of less than 20ms is considered excellent.
What is Jitter?
Jitter is the variance in latency over time. High jitter can cause 'stuttering' in video calls or online gaming, even if your average speed is high. Low jitter (under 5ms) means a more stable and consistent connection.
What is the difference between Download and Upload speed?
Download speed is how fast you can pull data from the server to you, important for streaming and browsing. Upload speed is how fast you send data from you to others, crucial for video calls and uploading files. Most people need much more download than upload speed.
