How accurate is Speed Test World?
Speed Test World measures ping, jitter, download speed, and upload speed using nearby test infrastructure. For the most representative result, close other bandwidth-heavy applications and run several tests.
What is Ping?
Ping (Latency) is the reaction time of your connection—how quickly you get a response after you've sent out a request. A fast ping means a more responsive connection, especially in applications where timing is everything (like video games). A ping of less than 20ms is considered excellent.
What is Jitter?
Jitter is the variance in latency over time. High jitter can cause 'stuttering' in video calls or online gaming, even if your average speed is high. Low jitter (under 5ms) means a more stable and consistent connection.
What is the difference between Download and Upload speed?
